The APS Innovation Fund encourages collaborative partnerships among APS members, APS units and committees, and APS staff to develop new approaches to advancing the interests of the physics community.
The Innovation Fund is undergoing strategic review and is not currently accepting award applications.
In partnership with the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, Experimental Physics Investigators Initiative (EPI) is bringing together tenured, mid-career experimental physicists who are accomplished leaders in their field to discover new ideas and collaborations in experimental physics with grants of $1,250,000 over five years. EPI supports inclusive research groups that strive to promote equity in the community. Researchers with high-risk, high-reward projects seeking to tackle their most creative, innovative research ideas may submit pre-proposals in fall 2023.
