APS Applauds President-elect Biden’s Recently Announced White House Science Team

The American Physical Society (APS) – the nation’s largest physics membership organization with more than 54,000 members throughout academia, the private sector and national laboratories – applauds President-elect Biden’s recently announced White House science team. APS commends Biden’s decision to designate the Presidential Science Advisor and nominee for Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy as a member of his cabinet. The Society is encouraged by the Biden Administration selecting a diverse team of highly respected science and policy experts ready to serve on day one and stands ready to work with them on the challenges facing the scientific community and the nation more broadly.
